Consent requirement
Customers sending SMS/MMS messages are required to adhere to the opt-in guidelines specified in the CTIA Principles and Best Practices. Texts should only be sent to individuals who have explicitly consented to receive them. Both Sendo and affiliated carriers actively monitor for compliance with these rules. Sendo retains the authority to either suspend your account or block your messaging services if any misuse is reported.
Further, customers are advised to seek independent legal advice to ensure compliance with the TCPA and other laws when sending SMS/MMS messages in the United States.
Restricted content
Maintaining the integrity of text messaging as an effective communication channel hinges on curbing misuse. As such, certain types of content are strictly disallowed on our platform, even if customers have secured consent from the recipients for those messages.
Sendo prohibits the transmission of content that is illegal, damaging, unwanted, unsuitable, objectionable, verified as criminal disinformation, or otherwise potentially harmful to the public, regardless of its legal status. Additional prohibited activities include:

Content related to the sale or promotion of controlled substances under United States federal law, including marijuana (cannabis) and CBD.

Sending messages in connection with any pornographic and/or adult entertainment industry purpose, regardless of whether such purpose is lawful.

Depictions or endorsements of violence, hate speech, or otherwise engaging in threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or deceptive behavior.

Messaging realted to high-risk financial services, including payday loans, new loan soliciting, student loans, debt collection and similar, is prohibited.

Content related to gambling, including casino apps and betting/sports picks.

Content related to alcohol, tobacco, firearms or vaping products.

Third-party lead generation services, including affiliate marketing.

Offers for prescription medication that cannot legally be sold over-the-counter are prohibited in the United States, regardless of any business licenses.

Fraudulent messages, including phishing and other scams.

Malicious content, such as malware or viruses.

Any content that is designed to intentionally evade filters.
